The following are some sites we think you might find inspirational, we try and update these on a regular basis... if you wish to have your site included in this section please let us know via the contact page.

Chez Fred

Chez Fred is the most amazing fish and chip shop /restaurant in the UK and is possibly the best you will ever come across. Owned by a former chef Fred Capel located on a busy through road in a suburb of Bournemouth this shop has a continual line of people waiting for either take away or a table in their restaurant. It is quite unique and is often frequented by the odd celebrity as well. An absolute must if you are in the area.

Ice Creations

We gave this company a bit of a plug a few years ago in a printed newsletter. When you want a centerpiece for a buffet or something that could just make that display table a bit different? - Well Ice Creations is perhaps your answer.

You would be amazed how many requests we get for this skill and so it is with pleasure we can now point you in this direction and say you need look no further. Just make sure you tell Wayne Pride where you heard of him and this business will continue to thrive...

Some might say Chefs and Business and business don't mix. Well, the following just proves this theory wrong....

Gary Witchalls

Gary Witchalls has realised a bit of a dream with his move to the Mole Inn at Toot Balden, Nr Oxford. He penned our first Chopping Board article but has put into practice his philosophy with this very well run Pub operation. The food is up to the minute with some modern twists. The pub owners Alan and Jilly Heather are to be commended in giving Gary the opportunity and the vehicle to prove this theory wrong.

Steve Morey

Steve Morey another good example of how a chef can be successful in business... along with his wife Liz the pair have done a lot to turn Blagdon Manor in North Devon into a Country House Hotel of outstanding quality. They tell me they have never worked so hard but their dedication and devotion to quality just oozes from within. The site has a good modern feel to it and really just makes you want to visit. is the dedicated online recruitment website just for chefs, advertised in the UK and Worldwide to attract the best Chefs and the best Jobs. Chefsearch provides an instant and easy to use recruitment medium for Employers and Employees.

Celebrity Chef Websites

Love them or hate them the celebrity chef is very much our modern hero of the culinary world. Here are a few of our UK best.

Phil Vickery

Phil Vickery is a chef who for nearly 10 years was the driving force in the kitchen of the Castle Hotel, Taunton, Somerset. He has been a bit quiet on the trade scene over the last few years as he has established himself in a consultancy business called the Food Bureau. This along with his regular spots on This Morning with his wife Fern Britton and continued Ready Steady Cook work has kept him busy. His web site also includes some good video streaming of him cooking certain dishes. This is a relatively new site and it is still building its content but it is a fresh informative and one to watch...

Jamie Oliver

Jamie Oliver has a wide public following and his popularity does not seem to diminish...The boy can cook and he is awakening a whole new generation of cooks. Let's hope though he has some staying power and not just "making life taste better" for a short while!!!!

Anthony Worral Thompson

Anthony Worral Thompson t(he cuddly chef from the BBC Food & Drink program) has quite an extensive site with assorted sections. There are also links to his growing empire of restaurants. This chef has had quite an impact on the catering trade since he first really made his name with Ménage à Trois back in the late 70s.

Rick Stein

Rick Stein - one of our best-loved celebrity chefs - has an impressive web site. It lists all his related businesses and has on-line shopping where you purchase his books, videos and even a Breton Oyster Clamp! This is a well designed, stylish and professional site that provides a good in-depth look at the success Rick has become in the small Cornish town of Padstow. The John Dory logo is a nice touch too.

Brian Turner

Brian Turner (one of the original chefs from Ready Steady Cook) has built quite a little empire over the years. He is an affable Yorkshireman who likes to do his bit for charitable work as well.
